The Kirjalansalmi Bridge, Finland’s longest road bridge by clear span, has officially opened, marking a major milestone in the country’s transport infrastructure. Commissioned by an alliance partnership between contractor Kreate and the Finnish transport infrastructure agency Väylävirasto, the new bridge replaces the existing 1963 suspension bridge that had reached the end of its lifespan due to fatigue damage. Cavalli Tower in Dubai Tops Out
The structural topping-out ceremony of the Cavalli tower, a luxury residential project undertaken by China State Construction in Dubai, has been achieved. Located at the intersection of Dubai Media City and Palm Jumeirah in Al Sofouh, the 71-story tower reaches 306 meters with one basement level and offers panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah. The project features an onsite wastewater treatment plant that purifies and recycles water locally, reducing reliance on municipal supply. The project team has been selected for Cottonwoods Long-Term Care Facility in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and includes Stantec and Bird Construction Group, led by Interior Health in partnership with the Central Okanagan Regional Hospital District and the syilx Okanagan Nation. The four-story facility will provide residents living in Kelowna and Central Okanagan access to improved care in a homelike environment. Studio in Warsaw Reaches Façade Completion
The façade installation of Studio A, Skanska’s newest development in Warsaw, Poland has been completed. The second phase of this modern office complex is scheduled to be delivered in December. Located near Rondo ONZ, Skanska’s office complex comprises two buildings: Studio B, which was completed in 2023 at 9 Łucka Street and Studio A, under construction at 28 Prosta Street.
