Two business verticals of Larsen & Toubro — the Heavy Civil Infrastructure and Heavy Engineering — have jointly been awarded an order from the Department of Atomic Energy of Government of India, for establishing the LIGO India Observatory. The observatory will come up at Aundha in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district. Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory is used for detection of gravitational waves caused by cataclysmic cosmic events through multikilometer-scale wave detectors using laser interferometry. HOCHTIEF Awarded Contract for German Armed Forces’ University Campus
HOCHTIEF has been awarded a contract by the Federal Building Department to act as project partner in the development of the Helmut Schmidt University campus of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg. The entire project has an investment volume in the billion-Euro range. HOCHTIEF is responsible for demolition, extended shell construction and façade work on the “Campus DOK” project. This partial contract is expected to have a volume in the mid-three-digit million-Euro range. Multi-million Pound Development to Deliver Supported Needs Home in England
Plans to deliver an extra care scheme, and two apartment blocks for residents over 55 at England’s Seaham Garden Village, have been given the go ahead by Durham County Council’s planning committee.
