Rail Network Contract Awarded to Boost Mobility on Munich S-Bahn

HOCHTIEF, together with its partner Implenia, has been awarded a major contract by Deutsche Bahn for the second main line of the S-Bahn rail network in Munich (Germany). The new project mainly involves connecting the Ostbahnhof station with the Marienhof stop in the heart of the Bavarian capital. Both companies each have a 50% share in the Tunnel Ostbahnhof consortium. Plans for New €3.2B Semiconductor Assembly, Test Facility Underway in Italy

Silicon Box has selected Stantec and its partner, Drees & Sommer, for the new €3.2-billion semiconductor assembly and test facility in northern Italy. Stantec will provide architecture for the administration areas and infrastructure design including overall permitting services, while Drees & Sommer is contributing industrial engineering, architecture, structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering and clean room/dry room design for the production and utility buildings. Contract Awarded to VINCI Subsidiary to Upgrade Uganda Water Supply Network

Sogea-Satom, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, was chosen by the Ugandan National Water Sewerage Corporation to renovate, restructure and extend the water supply network in Africa’s Kampala metropolitan region. It has also been tasked with increasing the capacity of the Katosi water treatment plant. The project will involve up to 500 people and is scheduled for completion in August 2027.
