Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Tops Out South Canopy
New South Construction, McCarthy Building Companies and Synergy Development Partners’ joint venture known as NSMS, along with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (Georgia), celebrated an important milestone with the installation of the final structural steel on the south terminal canopy and topping out of the project. The joint venture broke ground on the project in September 2016. The north side canopy was completed in October of 2018. New Study Explores Types of Nonstandard Work Arrangements in Construction
Employment in the construction industry is typically based on relatively short-term contracts. In recent years, new types of nonstandard work arrangements, such as on-call workers, day laborers and workers provided by contract firms, have emerged in construction. A new study by CPWR’s Data Center analyzed types of nonstandard work arrangements in the construction industry using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ 2017 Current Population Survey’s Contingent Worker Supplement. PORR to Build 3T Office Park in Poland’s Tri-City
3T Office Park, the largest office complex in the region, is taking shape in Gdynia, one of the three cities that make up Poland’s Tri-City (Gdansk-Gdynia-Sopot). PORR S.A is the general contractor of the investment project, while Gleed Polska is responsible for the comprehensive project management and coordination regarding the building’s BREEAM certification.
