Gammon Construction Limited has been awarded a HK$1.5 billion contract by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong to deliver the extended basement and public infrastructure works for the L1 Contract for Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement at WKCD. The project involves excavation and lateral support followed by construction of a two-level reinforced concrete structure, as well as public infrastructure works including drainage, a traffic lay-by and associated temporary works. Hathaway Dinwiddie, AECOM JV to Manage Construction of Renovations at USC
A Hathaway Dinwiddie and AECOM joint venture has been selected by the University of Southern California to manage the $270-million renovation of the renowned Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Construction is underway at the historic sports facility, which was recently commemorated with a groundbreaking ceremony. The coliseum, located in Exposition Park adjacent to the university’s campus, has been the home field for USC Trojans football since its opening in 1923. Construction Employers Add 36K Jobs in January, Hourly Earnings Rise
Construction employment increased by 36,000 jobs in January to the highest level since August 2008, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America.
