Skanska Awarded Contract to Develop Virginia Tech Biomedical Research Addition
Skanska USA has been awarded a $68-million contract to complete the Virginia Tech Carilion Biomedical Research Addition, a 140,000-square-foot building on the Virginia Tech Carilion Health Sciences and Technology Campus in Roanoke, Virginia. This project, while contracted with Carilion Clinic, is a collaboration between Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech. AECOM is the architect. The project is expected to be completed in February 2020. Bon’s Case Easily Carries Bull Float, Handles to Jobsite
Bon’s new Bull Float Carrying Case holds one 8-inch bull float or channel float with a bracket attached and four handles. The case is constructed from heavy-duty PVC, which is molded to keep each item secured, protected and organized for storing and transporting. It is made with secure locking latches, and built-in feet keep the case upright on level surfaces. The open design of the front of the case allows the bracket to remain attached to the float when stored in the case.

Kinshofer introduces the DXS Series of hydraulic mobile excavator shears. The line features jaw-opening sizes, cycle times and hydraulic efficiency. The attachment series, which debuts with the DXS-50 model, is ideal for scrap processing, tire recycling and demolition. Kinshofer’s DemaPower cylinder technology gives the DXS-50 the same power as shears two sizes larger. The cylinder uses four chambers instead of the two found in other shears, resulting in 20 percent more surface area within the cylinder.
