Cordless Finish Tools Expand Porter Cable’s Offerings

PORTER-CABLE released its first line of 20V MAX Lithium Ion cordless finish tools, which include an 18 GA Brad Nailer and an 18 GA Narrow Crown Stapler. Each of the 20V MAX Nailer and Stapler eliminates the need for big noisy compressors, hoses or costly fuel cartridges. The tools operate on any PORTER-CABLE 20V MAX Lithium Ion battery. The motor design provides the consistent power needed to complete finishing applications, from baseboards and crown molding to cabinet and furniture assembly.

Dodge Momentum Index Declines in October

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Dodge Momentum Index fell 4.8 percent in October to 125.2 (2000=100) from its September reading of 131.5. The index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.
