Joint Ventured Tapped for $1.2B Austin Convention Center Redevelopment Project

A joint-venture team of Turner Construction Company and JE Dunn Construction was awarded a contract to lead a $1.2-billion redevelopment and expansion of the Austin Convention Center in Texas. The project will involve demolishing and rebuilding the convention center over four years. The expansion and redevelopment will nearly double the amount of rentable space allowing the convention center to remain competitive in the marketplace. The redevelopment will also deliver a community-friendly event space that will transform the southeast quadrant of downtown and provide connectivity between downtown and East Austin. Construction will be complete in 2028.

The topping out of the Adobe Restaurant and Clubhouse, the second phase of the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club Renovations project, was recently celebrated by Sundt Construction, alongside owners JDM and design partners Douglas Fredrikson Architects. The second phase of improvements includes a new clubhouse and restaurant with private dining room, ballroom and roof deck.
