SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard attended the recent groundbreaking for the first project to be built in the new Foundation Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Gil Haugan Construction, together with Tippmann Innovation, will build the 205,000-square-foot cold storage facility. Win Chill, a development, transportation and logistics company, will own the new facility which will have the capacity to support food wholesalers, retailers and food manufacturing customers in a four-state region. MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Modjeski and Masters has been seletcted as prime consultant by the Michigan Department of Transportation for the anchor link and gusset plate replacement on the first Blue Water Bridge. This project selection continues Modjeski and Masters’ long-term relationship with MDOT on the Blue Water Bridge, a relationship that dates back to the mid-1930s when the firm’s co-founder, Ralph Modjeski, designed the first Blue Water Bridge. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Mortenson Construction will break ground on the new Destination Medical Center Discovery Square development in Rochester, Minnesota. Mayo Clinic will serve as anchor tenant and will lease 30,000 square feet across three floors in the upcoming life science research and innovation building, which is adjacent to its historic campus. QUINCY, Mass. – In one of the largest ground-up development projects in its 40-year commercial real estate history, The Grossman Companies, Inc. has partnered with Summit Development to develop a high-end 120,000-square-foot, $68-million retail development on 19 acres at 480 Bedford Road, part of the long-time, former Readers Digest world headquarters located in Quincy, Massachusetts.
