Staff at M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota have faced a 5% rise in inpatient visits and a 12% increase in ED visits since 2022. With limited space, and a commitment to improve patient care while visits are only expected to grow, St. John’s staff improved patient flow by expanding the emergency department, reorganizing existing services and – now – opening a new short-stay and observation unit. Representatives from United Airlines, Houston Airport System, Manhattan Construction and Clark Construction recently convened at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, located in Houston, Texas, to unveil plans for the $1.9-billion Terminal B transformation project.
