PCL Construction Completes Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail

The Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail is officially open to the public. Located in Apple Valley, construction began in May of 2022. Built by PCL Construction, the project consisted of repurposing the zoo’s old monorail track to make the 1.25-mile elevated walking path, rising to 32 feet above ground at the highest point. The new visitor attraction will be the world’s longest elevated pedestrian loop and will become the centerpiece of the zoo’s vision to reconnect its guests with nature. The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System, Gilbane Building Company and JCJ Architecture have broken ground on the new Bullard Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Designed by JCJ, the new 215,000-square-foot school will be built on the existing 24-acre site in multiple phases over a 41-month schedule to accommodate existing operations.
