The Design-Build team of Stantec and Saunders Construction completed work on the $68-million Glenwood Springs Maintenance Facility in Glenwood Springs, Colorado for the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. The expanded GMF provides indoor heated storage for 60 buses and a 9,000-square-foot second level operations space with a dispatch suite, reception area for visitors, drivers’ room, office space and locker rooms. Willmeng Construction celebrated the groundbreaking of the Surprise Police Department’s first-ever substation. The nearly 32,000-square-foot facility is designed to serve as a fully equipped operational hub and keep pace with the rapid population growth in the northern part of the city. Designed by Perlman Architects of Arizona, the $5.7 million facility will accommodate approximately 60 sworn officers and civilian support staff. Gale Associates, a consulting engineering firm specializing in building enclosure consulting and historic preservation, is leading the evaluation, design and construction administration for the historic restoration of the Barnstable Superior Courthouse building enclosure. Gale was retained by Barnstable County, Massachusetts for the $7 million restoration project in coordination with the Massachusetts Trial Court and ClearPath Advisors, the owner’s project manager. Homer Contracting was awarded the project and will begin construction in July 2026, with work continuing through summer 2027. Hoar Construction Breaks Ground on Rehabilitation Hospital Outside of Chattanooga

Hoar Construction announced the groundbreaking of the 54,000-square-foot rehabilitation hospital in Ooltewah, Tennessee, outside of Chattanooga. Hoar is serving as general contractor for construction of the inpatient hospital, which is set to open in spring 2027 and is being developed by The Sanders Trust, with Lifepoint Health as the owner and in partnership with CommonSpirit.
