AECOM-Hunt Turner, Joint Venture Tops Out Concrete at LA Clippers’ Future Home Intuit Dome

Turner recently celebrated the topping out of the Intuit Dome’s concrete frame – the Los Angeles Clippers’ future home along with joint venture partner AECOM-Hunt. More than 200,000 hours of work performed by 350 workers went into completing the concrete frame. To celebrate the major milestone, the joint-venture team joined LA Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer, LA Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker, Inglewood Mayor James T. Behavioral Health Teaching Facility at University of Washington’s Medical Center-Northwest Achieves Construction Milestone

The new six-story Behavioral Health Teaching Facility, at University of Washington’s Medical Center-Northwest in Seattle, will include 150 patient beds and more than 184,000 square feet of clinical and administrative space. The project will feature 75 long-term civil commitment beds, 25 geropsychiatric beds and 50 licensed med-surgery beds with the capacity to treat patients with psychiatric diagnoses and/or substance use disorders. Topped Out HudsonAlpha Discovery Life Sciences Building Features Prefabricated Exterior Walls

Brasfield & Gorrie celebrated the topping out of the HudsonAlpha Discovery Life Sciences building in Huntsville, Alabama. Construction on the lab and office building is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023. The building will house Discovery Life Sciences, which conducts life science research and is located in a smaller space on the campus of HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. The 95,000-square-foot lab and office building included prefabricated exterior walls, which are a campus standard. Prefabricated materials are constructed offsite in a controlled environment, which increases safety and control of scheduling.

Ware Malcomb announced that construction is complete on Bellevue Brewery in Bellevue, Washington. Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and design services for the project. The 7,353-square-foot interior renovation includes a brewery, restaurant and commercial kitchen. The décor within the space pays tribute to the local area with reclaimed Douglas fir wood salvaged from historical buildings, such as a University of Washington police station and a covered bridge in Sweet Home, Oregon.
