ABC: Construction Hiring Remains Sluggish in May

The construction industry had 245,000 job openings on the last day of May, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. JOLTS defines a job opening as any unfilled position for which an employer is actively recruiting. Nonresidential Construction Spending Down 0.2% in May, Says ABC

National nonresidential construction spending decreased 0.2% in May, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data published by the U.S. Census Bureau. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $1.237 trillion. Spending was down on a monthly basis in half of the nonresidential subcategories. Kraus-Anderson Completes $24 Million Windom Area Health in Windom, Minnesota

Kraus-Anderson has completed a new $24-million medical building in Windom, Minnesota for Windom Area Health. Recognizing the growing needs of the region, WAH partnered with Sanford Health to develop a 52,000-square foot clinic expansion owned by the city of Windom and funded by WAH.
