Construction Starts Increase 5% in November
Total construction starts increased 5% in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.2 trillion, according to Dodge Construction Network. Nonresidential building starts grew 2%, nonbuilding starts moved 16% higher, while residential building starts fell 1%. On a year-to-date basis through November, total construction starts were up 5% from the first 11 months of 2023. Nonresidential starts were up 4%, residential starts were up 7% and nonbuilding starts were up by 5%. Construction Complete for $120M Long-Term Care Center for Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority
Construction firm Robins & Morton completed a new $120 million, 131,000-square-foot long-term care facility for the Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority in Cherokee, North Carolina. The facility — called the Tsali Care Center — stands two stories and contains 120 private resident rooms. It is devoted to the care of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and will feature skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care services, in addition to a dialysis center.
