The state of Louisiana has selected RNGD to serve as construction manager-at-risk for the New Southeast Louisiana State Office Building in Harvey, Louisiana (Project No. 01-107-24-OFC, F.01004573). The project will replace an existing structure with a modern, efficient facility designed to serve state agencies and the New Orleans community for generations to come. Located on Florida International University’s Modesto A. Maidique campus, a new $212-million academic health sciences and clinical facility is planned as a collaboration between FIU, South Florida’s public research university and Baptist Health South Florida. The facility will serve as a hub for clinical, research and educational activities. Ground was recently broken on Queensbridge Collective, a transformative mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clark Construction Group is serving as construction manager-at-risk. Other project team members include Riverside Investment & Development, Woodfield Development, Goettsch Partners and CBRE . The Sunnyvale Hilton Garden Inn, located in California’s Silicon Valley, has recently been completed. The project team included Sundt Construction, Inc. and Architectural Dimensions. According to Jim Larrieu, vice president and Sacramento regional director for Sundt’s Building Group, the property “will equip guests with the amenities and workspace close to technology companies like Google, Apple and Facebook.” Sundt served as the construction manager at risk for the $47.2-million hotel project. University of North Texas Dedicates Biomedical Engineering Addition
The dedication of the University of North Texas Biomedical Engineering addition recently took place on the UNT Discovery Park campus. Sundt Construction served as general contractor, with TreanorHL as the architect for the expansion. The $11.6-million project included a 26,250-square-foot addition onto the existing main building at Discovery Park. The project provides much-needed space for the growing biomedical engineering program; the program formerly occupied a small amount of office space within Discovery Park.
