Construction Complete on New Eye Institute in Fort Myers

Construction has been completed on SWFL Children’s Charities Eye Institute of Golisano Children’s Hospital, located in Fort Myers, Florida. The 5,700-square-foot SWFL Children’s Charities Eye Institute is the largest pediatric ophthalmology office serving Lee County and includes a lobby, 14 exam rooms, offices and nurse stations appointed with colorful finishes. Stevens Construction provided an interior demolition and a complete renovation of the existing building into the new pediatric practice, which is now open.

Construction Complete on 1st Adult Autism Center in Utah

Construction on a new Adult Autism Center for Lifetime Learning located in Murray, the first of its kind in the state of Utah, has been completed. Care at the facility will be provided by Valley Behavioral Health. Big-D Construction served as the general contractor on the project. The construction build site totaled 51,690 square feet and included a large parking lot with 65 parking stalls, a two-story structure and the nearly 15,000-square-foot care center. New Building Advances Engineering Education, Research at Duke

Construction is complete on the 150,000-square-foot Wilkinson Building for the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Skanska USA served as general contractor on the project, which will house new engineering, education, research and entrepreneurship initiatives that bring together departments, faculty and students from across the university. The five-story concrete structure, which expands spaces dedicated to student education and programming in engineering by 50%, was built using Duke stone and Duke-blended face brick. Joint Venture to Deliver New 136-Bed, $375M Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The joint venture of Turner Construction Company and MCN Build were awarded the construction management contract for the construction of a new hospital at St. Elizabeths East in Washington, D.C. by Universal Health Services. The new 136-bed acute care hospital and ambulatory care pavilion will offer a wide array of critical health and specialty services to the community. University of Kentucky Student Center Achieves Certificate of Occupancy

The University of Kentucky Student Center has achieved its certificate of occupancy from the state of Kentucky several months ahead of schedule. Turner Construction Company served as general contractor on the project. Despite the difficult weather this winter, the team collaborated with the architect, engineers, owner, maintenance department, building management team and Aramark to complete the space on time and ahead of schedule.
