One of the nation’s largest school districts, Prince George’s County Public School System, recently opened its sixth new school as part of its “Blueprint Schools” program. Located in Fort Washington, Maryland, the Colin L. Powell K-8 Academy opened to students in November 2023, and held its ribbon cutting Feb. 21. Construction to Begin on 2 New Secondary Schools in Paris Suburbs

Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has been selected by the Essonne Département to design, build, operate and maintain two secondary schools in the towns of Wissous and Gif-sur-Yvette, in the southern suburbs of Paris, France. These two ambitious environmental projects, part of a global performance contract worth over £70 million, have been designed with the intention of creating an innovative educational environment. Renovation Project for Ladysmith School District Underway

The Madison, Wisconsin office of Kraus-Anderson has begun an extensive $21-million renovation project for the School District of Ladysmith in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Designed by Bray Architects, the district-wide project at the middle school and high school features a 22,000-square-foot remodel of academic classrooms, a 10,131-square-foot gym expansion, 2,764-square-foot media center addition, building systems replacements, security upgrades, ADA improvements and a new roof.
