Contract Awarded for Penlink Project in North Auckland, New Zealand

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has appointed HEB Construction — a VINCI Construction subsidiary based in New Zealand, as part of the consortium formed with Fulton Hogan, Aurecon, Tonkin + Taylor — for the design and construction of the Penlink project in north Auckland. The project will provide a vital connection in the region that will provide better, safer and more reliable transport options. Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New North Ogden Public Safety Building

Big-D Construction and partners including the city of North Ogden broke ground on a public safety building in Utah. The project, awarded to Big-D Construction and JRCA Architects in 2021, is a $12.4-million design-build project. At 25,000 square feet, the facility is a single-story building and will be home to the North Ogden Justice Court, police department, code enforcement, animal control and a new holding facility. Estimated completion on the building is slated for August 2023.

Two PCL Projects Win Green Building Excellence Awards

Two PCL Construction projects received national green building awards at the recent Canada Green Building Council’s Building Lasting Change conference. The Roam Transit Operations and Training Centre, located in Banff, Alberta, won the Zero Carbon Design Award, and the Ken Soble Tower at 500 MacNab, located in Hamilton, Ontario, won the Deep Carbon Retrofit Award.
