Plans to deliver an extra care scheme, and two apartment blocks for residents over 55 at England’s Seaham Garden Village, have been given the go ahead by Durham County Council’s planning committee. The multi-million pound development at the garden village site, led by housing association Karbon Homes, will deliver 118 extra care apartments, designed to help people with differing levels of care and support needs to live well and independently, and 93 apartments for residents over 55. HOCHTIEF Awarded Contract for German Armed Forces’ University Campus

HOCHTIEF has been awarded a contract by the Federal Building Department to act as project partner in the development of the Helmut Schmidt University campus of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg. The entire project has an investment volume in the billion-Euro range. HOCHTIEF is responsible for demolition, extended shell construction and façade work on the “Campus DOK” project. This partial contract is expected to have a volume in the mid-three-digit million-Euro range.
