OSLO, Norway – The U.S. Department of State, Chargé d’Affaires James P. DeHart and Norwegian officials opened the new U.S. Embassy in Oslo during a recent ceremonious ribbon cutting. Built by Walsh Construction and designed by EYP Architecture, this multi-building complex resides on a 10-acre site and provides a safe, secure and modern facility for U.S. diplomacy. Printing Starts for World’s First 3-D Printed Cycle Bridge in Netherlands

On June 16, BAM Infra, one of Royal BAM Group’s operating companies in the Netherlands, began to 3-D print the world’s first fully structurally pre-stressed concrete cycle bridge. This cycle bridge has been developed by BAM Infra in cooperation with TU Eindhoven and is part of Gemert Noord-Om, a project being carried out for the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant. M3 Project Becomes UK’s Latest Smart Motorway

Balfour Beatty’s M3 project in Surrey and Hampshire has become the latest road in the UK to be upgraded to a smart motorway. The contract with Highways England is set to improve journey times for 130,000 drivers who use the road each day by converting the hard shoulder into a fourth lane and the introduction of cutting-edge technology. Bechtel Selected to Build First Expressway in Kenya

Bechtel has been selected by the Kenyan National Highways Authority to build the first high-speed expressway in the country. The new 294-mile (473-kilometer) route will vastly improve the connectivity, efficiency and safety of road transport between Nairobi and the country’s main seaport, Mombasa, and will reduce the journey time from over 10 hours to less than four hours.
