New Kansas City International Airport Terminal Brings Enhanced Air Travel Experience to Region

In February, the first flights departed from the new single terminal at Missouri’s Kansas City International Airport, marking the end of a five-year development, design and construction effort and ushering in a new era of air travel in the region. Barton Malow Company and project partner Gray Construction have broken ground at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky. September was full of important milestones for the BESIX and Orascom Construction teams working jointly on the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt, just off the plateau of the Pyramids of Giza. First, the JV team took a significant step toward completion by delivering substantial parts of the cultural masterpiece. The joint venture of Consolidated Contractors Company and Shapoorji Pallonji Middle East’s Mall of Oman Project — located in Dubai, U.A.E. — was awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification this spring.
