An expansion and renovation project is underway at Florida Heart Associates in Fort Myers, Florida. The project team includes Stevens Construction and PRA. Stevens Construction is providing a complete interior renovation of the two-story, 25,374-square-foot building, which includes an upgrade of all exam rooms, nurse stations, offices, lobby and the cardiac PET equipment. Ground Broken on Rehab Unit for West Marion Community Hospital
Ground was recently broken on West Marion Community Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit for Ocala Health. Located in Ocala, Florida, the nearly 44,500-square-foot, 36-bed expansion will become the hospital’s first inpatient rehabilitation unit. The unit will also feature a gym for physical and occupational therapy, as well as its own dedicated dining area. It is slated for completion in late 2022. Robins & Morton is serving as the general contractor and Gould Turner Group is the architect.

Balfour Beatty has been awarded a £32-million contract to build a world-class ophthalmology and orthopedic health facility in Inverness, a city in the Scottish Highlands, on behalf of NHS Highland. The general contractor will construct the 8,305-square-meter National Treatment Centre, including 24 inpatient rooms, five operating theatres, clinics and outpatient departments. The $147-million project expands Mercy’s capacity to serve patients in one of the nation’s fastest-growing metro areas.
