BAM will be constructing a new 750-pupil secondary school featuring strong sustainability credentials and design supporting diverse learning needs at the Orchards Academy in Swanley, Kent (England). The £32.8-million project will deliver a 100% newbuild school replacement on a live school site. The scope of work includes new classroom facilities, indoor sports provisions and the addition of new external soft sports pitches. Renovations Begin on Central Office of Austrian Pension Fund in Vienna

After more than 40 years of operation in Friedrich-Hillegeist-Straße in Vienna, Austria’s second district, the central and regional Viennese offices of the Austrian Pension Fund and the Centre for Outpatient Rehabilitation are undergoing extensive renovation due to signs of aging, such as leaking ceilings or poor thermal insulation. The technical services will be brought up to date and the building will be given an insulation retrofit, with particular attention paid to establishing an ecologically sustainable energy supply.
