MCA Announces 2026 Board

The Metal Construction Association announced its new officers for 2026. Elected by MCA members, the board will be led by Lee Ann Slattery of ATAS International, the organization’s first female chair. Swinerton Completes High School Renovation Project in Charlotte Area

Swinerton Builders announced the completion of a renovation project at Catawba Ridge High School that establishes a cosmetology training facility for in-district high school students. The 3,345-square-foot multipurpose environment provides the opportunity for hands-on experiential learning. Started last spring, the renovation was complete in time for the 2025-26 scholastic year. The cosmetology renovation converted four existing classrooms into a specialized training environment, complete with a retail salon space. ABC: Construction Job Openings Remain ‘Extraordinarily Low’ in October

The construction industry had 213,000 job openings on the last day of October, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. JOLTS defines a job opening as any unfilled position for which an employer is actively recruiting. Swinerton Partners with Palo Alto Unified School District on $41.7M Greene Middle School Transformation

Swinerton Builders has been selected by the Palo Alto Unified School District to lead the $41.7-million Greene Middle School Transformation Project in California. This lease-leaseback initiative marks Swinerton’s first collaboration with PAUSD, which serves more than 8,000 students. Designed by LPA Design Studios, the project will modernize and expand Greene Middle School.
