Officials from the North Branford School District, the state of Connecticut and the Town of North Branford recently joined school faculty and staff, as well as representatives from Construction Solutions Group, Quisenberry Arcari Malik, LLC and Gilbane Building Company, gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new 106,000-square-foot North Branford High School. I-75 Reconstruction Project in Florida County to Improve Traffic Flow, Reduce Delays

General contractor Skanska is leading the reconstruction of Big Bend Road at Interstate 75 interchange in Hillsborough County. The company is spearheading the $81.7-million Design-Build project on behalf of the Florida Department of Transportation. Construction began in August 2021 and completion is slated by end of summer 2024. Designed by Dewberry, the project scope will encompass the widening and reconstructing of Big Bend Road and reconfiguration of the I-75 ramps, which will improve traffic flow and reduce delays. New Blackwater Community School Continues to Serve as Hub for Education, Culture for Future Generations

Construction on the new Blackwater Community School, which replaces the facility originally built in 1939, is complete. The two-story structure is located Southeast of Phoenix, Arizona on a 7.43-acre campus on the Gila River Indian Community. The project team included engineer Rosendin, general contractor Gilbane Building Company and design partner Breckenridge Group. The $25-million replacement campus incorporates culturally significant artwork throughout the classroom building, media center, multi-purpose building and cafeteria. Ground Broken on Harkers Island Bridge Replacement Project for North Carolina DOT

Ground was recently broken on the $60-million Harkers Island Bridge Replacement project on behalf of the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The project will replace two 50-year-old bridges to increase capacity for emergency access and evacuation, and reduce congestion and delays for marine vessels and vehicular traffic. Balfour Beatty is serving as general contractor on the project. A single, 3,200-foot-long fixed-span bridge will be constructed to replace the existing Earl C.
