Gilbane, Leftfield, Studio G Architects Tops Off Florence Roche Elementary School

Officials from Groton Public Schools, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Town of Groton joined students, educators and representatives from Leftfield, Studio G Architects and Gilbane Building Company to celebrate the official topping off of the 110,000-square-foot Florence Roche Elementary School. Designed by Studio G, with Leftfield serving as owner’s project manager and Gilbane as construction manager, the new facility will address growing concerns regarding the state of the existing facility, originally constructed in the 1950s, and accommodate 645 students in grades kindergarten through four. ViaWest Group began work in Goodyear, Arizona on the latest valley location for the Sub-Zero Group, Inc., which, at completion, will total more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing space in Goodyear for the major kitchen appliance company.   ViaWest Group, Scottsdale Investment Management and their building partners Willmeng Construction, DLR Group and Kimley-Horn, broke ground on the 599,351 square foot build-to-suit industrial warehouse that is the third facility the company operates in the West Valley.    Madison, Wisconsin-based Sub-Zero currently has locations at 3865 W Van Buren and 4295 N Cotton Lane in Goodyear. McShane Construction Company was selected by Penler to provide design-assist construction services for Penler Cherokee. Located in Acworth, Georgia, the multi-family community will offer 192 units. Positioned on an 18.3-acre site, the development will incorporate eight two-story garden-style buildings. The wood frame buildings will integrate an exterior of painted brick veneer, stone veneer and fiber cement siding. Gilbane Federal Awarded Contract to Build Littoral Innovation and Prototyping Facility Project

Gilbane Federal has been awarded a multiple award construction contract by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast for the construction of a Littoral Innovation and Prototyping Facility at Naval Support Activity Panama City, Florida. The project supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division and will replace nine buildings that received damage from Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The work provides for construction of a 54,475 square-foot laboratory, and support space capable of housing workspace and laboratories for engineers and scientists.
