Renovations Underway at Hood College Library

The Beneficial-Hodson Library, located in Frederick, Maryland, was originally built and opened to Hood College students in 1992. Almost 30 years later, the functionality of libraries is changing and the need for paper periodicals is no longer necessary. The significant space that once was needed for book stacks can now be replaced with collaborative learning environments where students work and learn in groups. Construction Begins on New Boutique Hotel Brand in Central Florida

ette Hotel has selected Barton Malow as the construction manager for its first-of-a-kind, boutique hotel property adjacent to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, located in Kissimmee, Florida. Barton Malow is also self-performing civil and concrete services for the project. JE Dunn Construction recently gave 73 freshmen engineering students from Jenkins High School a site-tour introduction to managing a construction project from the ground up — in this instance, a brand new Jenkins High to replace the existing school facility built in the 1950s in Chatham County, Georgia. Ground Broken for 1.25-Million-Square-Foot Industrial Development in Arizona

Ground was recently broken by Willmeng Construction Inc. for a new $115-million, master-planned Class A industrial space located within Glendale, Arizona’s New Frontier District. The first phase of the project includes a 705,531-square-foot facility and 488,995-square-foot building, which equals over 1.25 million square feet when combined into a single structure. Dedication Ceremony Held for Robins & Morton Construction Field Laboratory

Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction and Robins & Morton recently celebrated the dedication of the Robins & Morton Construction Field Laboratory, located in Auburn, Alabama. A facility of the CADC’s McWhorter School of Building Science, the first-of-its-kind lab will advance hands-on education and research.
